Pack 139
Rev up those engines -- it's Pinewood Derby time! Pre-registration for the Derby will be held from 4-6 on Friday, March 12. We encourage all cars to be pre-registered so that we can get to the big event on Saturday, March 13th, with race time to begin at 1 pm. Contact your den leader if you have any questions.
A Cub Scout pack is a family organization. It's a great growth opportunity for your scout, but also for you. There are many roles within the pack that parents fulfill to make things go. The pack needs YOU to step forward and find the place where you fit in. After March 1 when our second-year Webelos cross-over to Boy Scouts and their parents leave as well, there will be many empty holes in the adult leadership roles.
Little Econ Districts Leader Training is Feb. 20 at St. Albans and that's your most convenient. Other leader training opportunities are listed on the calendar. This is the perfect time to get trained if you are moving into a new position or aspiring to; after all, EVERY BOY DESERVES A TRAINED LEADER!
Did you know we are on Facebook? If you already have a Facebook account, just search for Pack 139 Oviedo to find the page. You can become a member of the group. Over time, we will be adding information there as well as here. More ways to keep in touch!
Due to late start this year, the Council has extended the popcorn sales window. If you have any outstanding popcorn orders, please remember to bring to the Pack meeting on Monday (11/2). Also, we have quite a bit of inventory leftover that has to be sold so please keep selling! Any questions, please contact your den leader or Debbie Cummings at 407-493-7201.
Your kids certainly are. And to have a Cub Scout campout, the pack must have AT LEAST ONE BALOO trained person helping to plan and chaperone the campout. In fact, we should have more than one.
